I’m a Bernina technician and what the previous answer says is right. Even a 30 year old Bernina can run 500 dollars so it depends how much jing you want to spend. The nice thing is these machines will not lose value. As a Bernina tech I would suggest to you as far as older machines the 930 Record is VERY GOOD. As is the 830 (less options) But there really aren’t any bad ones. Though I would stay away from the Virtuosa. (balancing issues).
